Volunteering Vacancies

COULD YOU OFFER FRIENDLY SUPPORT TO SOMEONE OVER 65?

Pembroke House is joining forces with LinkAge Southwark to offer support to people over 65 in the Walworth area.  We’re looking for volunteers, especially people who live locally, who would be happy to attend training and make weekly visits to an older person.

LIVE LOCALLY AND COULD POP IN OFTEN?

We need someone to manage our kitchen.  No experience needed, just someone available to drop by regularly and check supplies and flag up any problems.  Two to three hours a week should be plenty and you could fit them in when it suited you.

WANT TO VOLUNTEER BUT CAN’T MAKE A REGULAR COMMITMENT?

We need people to help out with one-off events whether it’s planning in advance or helping out on the day with cooking, serving, welcoming etc.  Our volunteer teams always have lots of fun as they work!

LOOKING TO DEVELOP OFFICE SKILLS?

We’d love you to come and volunteer in our office, answering the phone, imputing data and helping with organisation.  We’re always happy to offer a reference and can help with work-related training too.

LOVE BEING OUTSIDE?

Our Garden Group need extra hands to help out—gardeners welcome but no gardening skills needed.  We mainly need people who can help make cups of tea, chat to participants and support the Project Leader.  Come, enjoy our lovely garden and have a chat!

I
ENJOY WORKING WITH CHILDREN?

Baby PAM are looking for volunteers to help play with children while they enjoy our music class and prepare drinks for parent and carers. Or join Advising London to run activities for kids Tuesdays 10.30am—12.30pm so that  their parents can have uninterrupted time with the advisors.
